OSM Highway Density Statistics

OSM Highway Density Statistics

When the Routino database has been generated from the OSM data it contains a lot of information about the highways in the OSM data that can be examined.

It is important to note however that the statistics generated from the Routino database refer only to routable highways (i.e. public access) and also merge some types of highway together as described in the Routino tagging rules.

The map statistics are all presented here in the same format. For each one a map is drawn that shows the highway density (measured in metres of highway per square kilometre) within each zoom 13 map tile by colour coding. The full size images (and the quarter size images that link to them below) are created automatically each week from the Routino routing database.
